Did you know that around 15,000 tourists visit Sagada during the Holy Week alone every year?
Guess what? Each one brings his own bag-full of trash and some forget to dispose of them properly. What's left for the locals of Sagada after every "happy times" are work -- and more work. They are perpetually left with no choice but to clean up the trash left in their homeland.
This is why #BOTV is partnering with SaGGAs or the Sagada Genuine Guides Association -- we want to end this pattern.
For every tourist that we bring to Sagada, we shall donate P100 to the organization. May be a small amount but we want to make sure that all #BOTV tourists shall be made aware of the importance of their contribution in preserving the beauty of #ThatPlaceCalledSagada.
SaGGAs does not only help the locals earn for a living through tourism. They also organize activities such as clean-up drives; training and seminars; rescue missions and other activities all for the benefit of Sagada, its inhabitants and tourists.
Come and join us in our upcoming road trips to Sagada and #Travel4Cause!
